How do I assemble my items?

Most items will require assembly. When you order from us, you can choose to have our partner fully assemble your item for a small fee (fees are displayed on product order pages), or you can assemble it on your own or with your own handyman or contractor.

What areas does our assembly service serve?

Virtually everywhere in the USA. In the rare case we do not serve your area, and yo’ve purchased the assembly options, we’ll refund your fee and help you find a low cost local handyman

What are components that need to be assembled?

There are a maximum of 4 components to each wall unit:

  • Base cabinetsWall
  • shelves or wall bookshelves (optional)
  • Wall panels (optional)
  • Upper cabinets, upper shelves or upper bookshelves (optional)

Are detailed assembly instructions included in the package?

Yes, each element comes with detailed assembly instructions.  Visit the questions below for an assembly overview.

How do I assemble the base cabinets?

Each base cabinet is 2’ in length. It is assembled as a unit and it sits on the floor.  You simply assemble all of the base cabinets and slide them into place along your wall.

How do I assemble the wall panels?

Wall panels are 2’ wide and come in 53” height or 68” height.  The panels snap together seamlessly.  Fasten the wall panels to the wall with the supplied adhesive.

How do I assemble the wall shelves or wall bookshelves?

  • For wall shelves, screw the supplied screws and screw anchors into the wall and hang the shelves.
  •  For wall bookshelves, assemble the unit, then attach it to the wall with a single screw and bracket.  You do not need to screw into a stud.

How do I assemble the upper cabinets, upper shelves or upper  bookshelves?

For upper cabinets, upper shelves or upper  bookshelves, screw the supplied bracket into the wall and hang each upper cabinet, shelf or bookshelf on the wall.

How do I care for my WallUnitsToGo's finish?

Dust regularly

  • Use a soft, dry cloth to dust your furniture daily to keep it looking its best. Dusting also reduces allergens and protects it from scratches.

Clean gently

  • For a quick, non-deep clean, you can spray the furniture with a light layer of non-ammonia glass cleaner and wipe it with a paper towel. You can also clean it with a soft cloth wrung out in a mild solution of warm water and an all-purpose cleaning detergent. When cleaning, avoid using furniture polishes that contain wax or silicone, and follow the grain to prevent streaks.

Avoid direct sunlight and moisture

  • Keep your furniture away from heat sources and moisture to avoid fading
